It PAYS to Listen! :D

I am a pretty big country music fan and listen to it while in the car. Well, one of our local radio stations are doing giveaways.... so I always try to win of course, I have done pretty good in the past around Christmas I won 2 tickets to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra floor seats, and then I have won several movie tickets and gift cards before. Well, this time was great I won 2 tickets to Fiesta Texas and a $200 Kroger gas voucher or gift card whichever it may be, I havent went and picked them up yet going to do that tomorrow! :D I am so excited!!!!!! My hubby and I are going to get to go on a mini vacation which we never been on a vacation before. We are going to try and go sometime in July before I get any more prego, plus the children 2 and under are Free! Just hope my pregnancy problems get better before we go!

Question of the Day

Do you like Taco's? or prefer Taco Salad? I like either but prefer Taco Salad, I have learned that so many people make it differently. That is what is for dinner tonight so it made me think.... plus I have been so deeply saddened by poor sales ads lately that my coupon book is feeling a lil deprived from lack of use! Ha! :D Hope everyone had a great weekend. I prolly wont be on much this week due to taking my boys to Vacation Bible School, its their first time to go and today they loved it!

Great Deal at Brookshire Brothers on Kelloggs cereal!

Here in my small town outside of Houston we have a Brookshire Brothers grocery store, which is normally pretty high on prices and I dont shop their much, but this week they have their Kelloggs cereal on 4/$5 , use the $1.00/1 q making them .25cents a box! This is the cheapest I have EVER seen cereal! I bought 20q's off of ebay for $2.00 that should be here soon! I went and bought 6 the other day and will go get the rest when my q's come in! :D Great deal!

Friday Question of the Day

Todays question is , on a budget of $20 or less what is a good Father's Day present? I am having a mug made with a picture of the boys on it and it says The greastest gift God ever gave me was my Daddy! Its really cute and since he Loves to drink coffee it will be perfect! (even tho I will have to have another one made later for the new baby on its way)! :D The mug was $11 with tax and by the time I buy Father's Day cards I will be close to $20.

NEW Question of the Day

I would like to start something new and tho I may not get to do it everyday I am going to try! :D It is going to be a Question of the Day and I want to see what kind of great ideas other people may have about things! So here we go, Todays Question is: Do you eat cucumbers and if you do do you eat them raw?? How do you fix or cook them (besides making pickles)?? ( I know that was 2 questions) lol! Use the 1.00/1q in this past Sundays P&G insert and end up paying $2.99 a pack after ECB's!! There is a limit of 3 per card so potentially you could get $15 in ECB's and have a great baby gift or use for your own children. Everybody needs diapers who has lil ones! :P

Country Time Lemonade!

I had to run to Kroger yesterday to pick up a few items, anyhow one of the items on my list was the Country Time Lemonade, which I know must everybody has prolly heard about the deal well anyhow they are on sale for $1.00 a canister, then there is a $1.50/2 printable. Making it .50cents for 2 and then it is giving back a $1 cat on 2. So basically a MM. Well, while I was at Kroger I ran across these coupons book on some coffee, so I started flipping thru the coupon book and found a coupon for $1.00/1 q for Country Time Lemonade, making it Free, plus getting the $1 cat off 2, yes I went crazy! lol Anyhow thought this was a great deal if you can find any of the coupon books, my Kroger had Bunches of them and no I did not take them all!!!

GENDER RESULTS!

FREE ROOT BEER FLOATS @ SONIC JUNE 3rd!

Okay, so I went to the local Sonic earlier to grab my free Rt. 44 drink with the coupon that had printed at the bottom of my receipt from an earlier visit and they have BIG signs everywhere stating that they are doing Free Root Beer Floats from 8pm-12am Wednesday June 3rd! I know that this is happening at Sonics around the Houston area but not sure how far out it goes, so you might want to check your local Sonic to see if and when you can score your Free Root Beer Float! Yumm Yumm! My boys will be excited for sure! :D

Changes

I am making some changes to my blog I found a website that has really cute blog layouts that I have been playing around with. CVS Deal

Thanks to this child growing in my belly I have not been shopping at all lately. I have been so sick with this lil one, it better be a girl is all I can say! lol Should find out in a few weeks and will let everyone know.
But, Thanks to my Sis n law telling me about a deal at CVS I had to pick up a prescription anyways and checked it out. The deal is if you buy any two Neutrogena products you get $10 ECB's, so they have a trial size 1oz Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 55 for 1.99 I didnt know if I was going to be able to find them b/c CVS was asked to pull them off the shelf, well you pay 3.98 and get $10ECB's that was a great deal for me! My store did have them, too bad it was a limit to 1 per card but I have 2 cards, mine and my hubbys and since I no longer work for them, I dont have to worry about getting in trouble for using both! lol

Jack my 2 year old was in need of some pullups and CVS has them on sale this week for 8.99. He is potty trained but I put him in pullups at night in case of accidents which he has really improved in at night! YAY! Anyhow,
Here is what I did .....
You know the glucose meters I was telling about at Wags that are giving back the $5 in RR, well CVS has the same deal this week with $5 in ECB's.
So, 1st Transaction:

Walgreens Runs!

I have not been shopping much at all lately. My schedule has been well beyond busy and being sick, having my house swarmed by bees inside and out and all the above. But I wanted to tell on some trips I have been making to Wags! First off the Bayer Glucometer Meter is on sale thru 5/31 for 14.99 and the you get $5.00 in RR . Well, if you can find the meter lol use the coupon for up to $30.00/1 and its free adn you get $5.00. Well I took my 5.00 RR last week and did this 3 times bought the Colgate that gave back RR to make it free which was 3.49 and used .75/1 q for it, then I bought Bayer dissovling aspirin(new item) that was 2.49 and get 2.49 back in RR and then they had 1.00/1 coupons sitting on the display for it bought a .32cent filler, paid with my $5 RR and 9 cents oop and got 7.00 back. So basically I was turning my $5 in RR to $7.00 for 9cents! I can do that! :P
I have ended up with 5 meters but most stores are out of stock and I have no clue when they will get back in, the only up side is that they are on until the end of May!

Kroger Trip This Week

I think I have figured out that Kroger is my Favorite store to shop just because you can get so much for lil or nothing!! :D Thanks to my loving and most wonderfulest mom, she found some peelies at her Albertson's for .35cents off of Kraft BBQ sauce. So she sent me 9 of em to use and since Kroger triples them ... you got it Free BBQ sauce! YIPPEE! Then rummaged thru the baby aisle found some more $2.00/1 Comforts diapers or baby wipes and used them on their baby wipes they have on sale for 2/$4 so FREE baby wipes, got 8 of those still have to get 6 more when I go back Monday! :D :D :D Then of course I bought some angel soft coupons off ebay so I could take advantage of free toilet paper, have 9 packages and still have 11 to get! Went to get some Quaker Quakes, man those things are good, got 4 of those. Then it was off to the bananas that are on sale 3lbs for $1.00 My littlest is my lil monkey and absolutely LOVES bananas so I picked up a bunch of bananas.

Today I made 3 trips to Kroger, Randalls, and Walmart. The deals were more than awesome, I had so many coupons that were expiring today that I wanted to take advantage of some of the q's that were expiring and would have did more except the weather was not cooperating very well and with 2 lil ones aboard I have to think of them. :D Anyhow, this is what I did.
First stop Kroger:
1 Blistex chapstick on sale 10 for 10 had .35q that tripled... Free
3 Quaker Quakes on sale .99cents had 1.00/1q .....Free
2 Glade Scented Oil Candles on sale 2/$5.00 had BOGOF and $2.00/1q = .50cent for both

Quick Walgreens Trip this Morning

I saw the Softsoap Body wash deal at wags in their ad and thought it would be worth trying since I like their body wash anyways, and much to my surprise the Get one Free Cat that printed ROLLS!!!!! So here is how it went down... Picked up 2 softsoap one to buy on sale for 3.99 used 1.00/1q in yesterday paper, making it 2.99 picked up 4 Reynolds wrap Free with .11cents overage on each, and 2 Whopper robin eggs for the boys Easter basket. Used a 6.00 RR and paid .74cents oop!!! Went back for more Softsoap body wash, ended up with 14 I didnt want to overdue it.. lol. But they cashier told me that they had already contacted Catalina to stop the rolling but she had no problem letting me do it! lol :D Great deal! So basically for 2.99 +tax you can get however many of the softsoap you want!

Kroger Trip 3/25/09

I did not make it to Kroger yesterday before the end of the mega sale unfortunately but I went today to take advantage of their Pillsbury deal going on. Anyhow, while I was there I ran across this awesome deal, first off forgot to take a picture of em but Tennessse Pride sausage and turkey sausage was on Manager special for 1.00 used 1.00q making them FREE! I got 11 boxes of the precooked 8ct patties!!

Next deal I got which I did take a picture of was their Glade scented oil candles were on Sale Not clearance for 2/$5.00 making them 2.50 a piece, well in every package is a 2.00 off coupon for them making them .50cents each and then a few weeks back was a BOGOF q in SS insert so you could get 2 for .50cents!!! My deal was a little better b/c in a trade on HCW awhile back some nice person sent me 2 3.00 off for the candles making them free with .50cents over so basically it just took off my others that I only had the 2.00 for . I wiped the shelf out... lol there was 8 of them there and I got all 8 needless to say this will be a giveaway item in my stockpile giveaway!

The refills for the candles were also on sale for the same price and I had a B2GOF coupon for those, plus I had a $1.50/2 coupon as well for the refills.

Total oop for 8 candles and 3 refills=$2.51cents +tax!!

Working on my first Giveaway

My Valentines has been wonderful! I got a dozen white pink tipped roses, a beautiful heart cake that says I Love You! and a bouquet of balloons that my boys have taken over!! Also a beautiful Hallmark card that sings "My Girl" and a special Valentines Card from my babies! :D Its been a LOVELY day!

Not a Randall's Fan!

I have never been a Randalls fan, but the last 2 weeks they have had some pretty decent sales. They had on sale today Frito corn chips and Cheetos for 1.00 a bag!! Limit 4. Then their halls cough drops are 10 for 10 making them $1.00 used .50/1 q makes em Free! :D

Quick Trip to Wags

I also made a quick trip to wags b/c I found a wags in Cypress that when I was there last week the lady told me she had about 50 bottles of the oil of olay body wash in the back , so I asked her to hold me 10 of them so I could get some more coupons, not knowing that p&g was putting one out this past Sunday. So, I ran in there real quick,
Heres what I did:
3 Fusion Razors on sale 8.99-4.00q=5.40that includes tax got $6.00 RR used gift card so nothing oop
10 bottles of oil of olay body wash 2.03includes tax used gift card so nothing oop
Then they had some Christmas hand towels on clearance for 10cents each, picked up 7 of those (cute designs too) and then when I was in there about a week ago they had a Fisher Price Little Mommy babydoll and stroller set reg. 29.99 on clearance for 6.49 I picked up one last week for my niece for Christmas this year. So this morning I just happened to go down the toy aisle and they had 2 baby doll sets left and were clearanced down to 4.19 picked up one more and got some candy for my boys used 1 of my $6.00RR so nothing oop!

3 pkgs. Cottonelle tp used .50/2 qs and q's off of shortcuts

2 boxes of pizza rolls used .35/1q
5 cans of Purina Wholesome meal wet dog food FREE used free q's .

OOP $5.xx - and got back $3.50 Catalina on my next purchase! So minus that would be like only paying $1.xx for all that! :D I was pretty happy!

Disappointed in CVS this week

So, I was looking thru CVS's ad this week and was kinda disappointed, they really dont have anything good this week, unless you wanted madagascar 2 for 4.99 with $20 purchase of the p&g items on the back page.... hufff.... oh well... I need a break anyways, until next week! Ha! :D

The most AMAZINGEST Trip to CVS that I have EVER HAD!

Ok, so last night I wanted to go to CVS and get some things that they had on sale for #1 my coupons were expiring yesterday the 31st and #2 the sale was ending!
So, my CVS finally got in the Gillette razor I had been wanting and since my CVS is not a 24hr CVS their sale that starts on Sundays actually start on Saturday before at 3:00pm so you can take advantage of both weeks at one time.
Anyhow, I noticed that the razor is in this weeks ad as well as last week with the extra bucks even better for muah!
Heres the damage:
2 Gillette Body Washes
5 Gillette Shampoos
2 Gillette Fusion Gamer Razors
2 bags Lays Potato Chips
2 bags of Stacey Pita Chips
4- 2Liter Pepsi
4 Gatorades
2 Reeses Whipped bars
Total OOP: 3.56 YES that is RIGHT for ALL OF IT!
Ended up getting $23.00 in ECB's in my first transaction and $10.00 in my second used some of it and still have $17.00ECB's left!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what happened I had 2 coupons that if you bought any Gillette razor you got the bodywash for free, so I was going to use those q's since they expired yesterday, well the cashier kept trying to give me the razors free , ok the razors on sale 7.99 the bodywash was 4.99 I told her 3 times NO its the bodywash that is free not the razor she still disagreed with me so I finally said ok. Sooo I got the razors completely FREE and got 1 Shampoo FREE b/c she goofed again! I tried to tell her that was the crazy thing.

I couldnt believe how it turned out, I did the gillette first in one transaction got my ECBs back and then did the Pepsi deal and used some of my ECB's on that and still have 17.00 left over!

Randall's 72Hour Sale

Of course everyone pretty well knows that Randalls had a $30.00 gift card with any NEW or transferred prescription, so I did that paid $5.xx for my prescription and got my gift card .

Then my hubby begged me for a shrimp dinner tonight, so I gave in and bought some raw shrimp, fried it tonight and thats what we had for supper. Used my gift card for all of it so

found some childrens books on clearance there too when I was leaving they were half off the lowest marked price, got a few of them for $1.00 each, used my gift card.

KROGER this week CLEANING CLOSEOUT GOING ON!!

Kroger has been having their Mega Sale going on for 2 weeks now, I have done the Mega Deal about 7 times I think it is... lol I lost count... but overall I have said literally hundreds of dollars getting stuff for free and on top of that , I went down the cleaning aisle to get the Glade and lo and behold ALOT of their cleaning items were Clearanced! YIPPEE! so here is what I got, I got double pack of Lysol wipes they were closeout for 2.54 and with the 1.00/1 q made them 1.54 that is CHEAP for those they are expensive, they also had the Clorox wipes clearanced as well but I didnt have any coupons for those... bummer. But, they had Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable wipes clearanced to 1.19 used 1.00q made them .19cents!! and then they had Swiffer Duster refills clearanced to 1.59 used a .50q that doubled , then on some glass cleaner they had a savings booklet with 5 coupons in it for cleaning items like Easy Off, Mop n Glo, Pledge, and some others and some of their easy off was clearanced to 1.54 used the 1.00q off of the glass cleaner boom diggody dog... .54cents! I was really excited! lol and for those of you wondering NO I did not clean them out , there was still several on the shelf, except for the SoftScrub was clearanced to .79cents and then the .50q doubled made it FREE!
So yea, thats it in a nutshell! :D
So overall spendings on the Mega Sale for 2 weeks, $42.16
overall saved for the Mega Sale for 2 weeks, $231.xx , im not complaining! haha

Walgreens and CVS this week

So I went to Walgreens Sunday right after their sale started b/c I wanted some of the Reynolds wrap for free with the overage, and then a lil birdie had told me about the Sunsilk clearance with RR.

Soo.... here is what I did, I went in of course they were out of the Reynolds wrap so I got my raincheck and no Sunsilk at this wags so moved on to the next one 3 miles down the road ( My husband swears he cant figure out how they stay in business with one on every corner... lol oh well not my worry just as long as they have what I want and its free who cares how many wags there is??? Right?? )

Second wags SCORE!! I found the sunsilk, paid 2.98 OOP and got 10RR and on top of that they had Reynolds wrap in stock, so I got that too! YAY , so I still have my raincheck for later.
Then I had got back to my van and forgot about the Colgate being on sale with the RR, so went back in there to get that! So now I have a total of $16RR! YAY For me... lol

So, then I went to CVS, I wanted to do the Fusion deal , but what stupid person would put only 1 type of razor with ECB in their ad and on top of that its apparantely a NEW item and NONE of my CVS's have it yet! What is up with that! So , I got my Gillette Shampoo and left ! lol

I havent been around this past week much due to 2 sick boys and bad weather... Boy it got COLD really fast, not used to that in Texas! lol

P&G $120 Coupon Savings Book Interesting Info

So I sat down today and started cutting my extra inserts from P&G last Sunday. When it just hit me about the Spend $50 get $120 coupon savings book! Umm... yea! I use Proctor and Gamble products like crazy around here! So I dug up some old receipts well Decembers and January's and started adding! I am short $9.xx cents! I have to think of something to get before the 31st that is a good deal and I can make my $50. I called P&G to find out if you could use multiple receipts or if it all had to be on one and the lady told me that you can use multiples. Then I asked about Folgers coffee since I havent seen any q's in pg in awhile, she said that when the offer for the book came out that it is part of the rebate, but Folgers has been sold to another company so they will not put q's out for it anymore! I found that interesting! I just bought some Folgers at Walgreens this week since it was on sale and DH was almost out!

Like I said before I am going back to Kroger tomorrow for some more deals, I noticed when I was getting my glade aersol that ALL their glade products are on sale and part of the Mega Sale! I didnt have all my glade q's with me as I had already planned what i was going for and left my coupon binder in the car. So when I go back I will be stocking up on some glade candles and some glade plugins! Since I sold all my glade plugins I got last year for free in my garage sale for 1.00 each! lol :D

Kroger Trip Tuesday 1/20/08

I know I am a few days behind posting b/c my baby has been really sick and still is and I have been working at night... Phew I am tired! :)
I went to Kroger on Tuesday to get their free deals or almost free deals....lol
Here is what I got:

6 Maurchan Yakisoba Meals Free after q's
10 Reeses whipped bars free after q's
6 Bounty Regular paper towels 1.68 for all after q's
6 Dial soap 3pk bars free after q's (these q's would not double or triple but the cashier noticed it and called a CS lady over there and she told him what to put in to get the extra off) :D She said they were having trouble with them but ALL coupons qualify if they are within the money frame for tripling and doubling I wasnt going to argue with her! lol )

Now my hubby has enough popcorn to last him the year! lol or at least until the next sale haha!

Creamy Chicken and Pasta with Spinach

Can we say YUMMY?? So I was looking for something different to fix last night for supper and I came across this recipe in a casserole cookbook my mom had given me a while back and boy was it good!
Creamy Chicken and Pasta with Spinach

6 ounces uncooked egg noodles
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper( I didnt use this in mine)
1 package 10ounces frozen spinach, thawed and drained
2 boneless skinless chicken breast cooked and cut into 1 inch pieces ( I used 3 breasts)
1 can 4ounce sliced mushrooms drained
2 cups shredded swiss or cheddar cheese ( I used cheddar)
1 container 8 ounce sour cream
1/4 cup half n half
2 eggs slightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare noodles according to package directions. Set aside.
2. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and bell pepper, cook an stir 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Add spinach, chicken , mushrooms and cooked noodles , stir to combine.
3. Combine cheese, sour cream, half n half, eggs, and salt in medium bowl, blend it well.
4. Add cheese mixture to chicken mixture, stir to combine. Pur into 13x9 baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake, covered, 30 to 35 minutes or until heated through. Makes about 8 servings.

Gotta LOVE rebates!

Awhile back I submitted a rebate for a Bayer glucose meter, I think it was like in November and completely forgot about. What a surprise when I went and opened up my mailbox yesterday and $55.00 rebate check was sitting there! WHOO HOO! Couldn't come at a better time thats for sure! I am going to try and do as many rebates this year as I can! I am fixing to send in a $10.00 one for Bayer for the vitamins I bought earlier this week! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

As I went into my part time job last night at CVS , I was suddenly reminded Hey this is January... guess what .... EXTRA BUCKS are OUT!! YAY! Even tho I didnt do so well with only $11.50, that was more than I had before! lol So if you havent got yours yet! Go get em! :)

FYI: In every CVS there should be a kiosk at the front of the store of close to the front where you can scan your CVS card and get your extra bucks to print that way you have them and dont have to buy something first in order to get them!

A Trip To Walgreens

Monday I made a trip to Wags. I hadnt been there in awhile but they were having some really good deals going on so I decided to drop in and see what damage I could do. I had a $25.00 gift card and was willing to use it to get some of the good deals.
1st off I sat down Sunday evening and spent about an hour figuring out my transactions and how to roll my Register Rewards. Here is what I did.
6- Garnier Fructis Shampoo (3 Shampoos and 3 Conditioners) Free after $2.00 ES q and $1.00 mq.
3-Garnier Fructis Hair Spray-Free after esq and mq
4-Kelloggs cereal 4/$10.00 -used 4 1.00 mq got $3.00 RR
4-Flinstones gummy vitamins $5.00each= $20.00 used 3/$1.00 off q and had a cat print for $3.00 off 1 that the cashier let me use on the 4th. Got $10.00 RR.
2-Electrasol Gelpacs 3.49each- used 2/$2.50 =99cents each and will submit for rebate at the end of the month.
1-Walgreens 90ct baby aspirin-used Free q
2-Reeses whipped candy bars-1.59 for both used 1.00/2 q
4- Ben and Jerry's pint ice cream 2/$6 - used 3.00 IP q's =FREE!
Spent 22.67 on gift card.

Total Savings- $43.00 (calculating my total savings by face value of my q's).

Starting my Blog!

Phew! Since I started couponing last year to an extreme extent. I would to start a blog to keep up with exactly what I was getting to what I was saving to what I am spending. (Did that make sense? lol)
I am hoping to have some followers and I am going to post each of my shopping trips along with some recipes that I come across that seem inviting. Look forward to a wonderful year in 2009!
